January Board Report January 22, 2023
Happy New Year from the Board! There are a lot of exciting things scheduled for 2024! Many of those were discussed at our first Board Meeting on January 17th.
A contract was signed with Feazel to replace gutters with larger new ones sometime between now and spring for six of our buildings this year. That includes all of Doeview and Deerview and two other buildings. The residents of these buildings will be informed prior to installation. Last year, Walnut View was also completed, and we will continue this process until all buildings have been updated.
As mentioned in earlier reports, additional decks, concrete repairs, and some road repairs will also be contracted for. The parking pad on the other side of Silver Fox that is in very bad shape will be on the list to repair.
It will be a very busy year again at the Rec clubhouse. There are plans to resurface the parking lot. In addition, improvements to the tennis/pickleball court that include resurfacing and moveable nets for tennis and pickleball so a tennis match or two pickleball matches can be played at the same time. The website will allow for reservation times to be set up to avoid being double booked. Please continue to check out the website for further details.
You will be receiving notification about a survey to better understand your preferences on rentals. The link for where you vote will be https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7HF9V3Le. Expect to see more information on this soon.
Thanks to all that have signed up for the Town Sq app. Also expect to see more information on this as well as tutorials on how to use it. It will continue to help the Board to respond to your requests and questions quickly and efficiently.
Please welcome Collin Shrader to the Board! It is an exciting year for him as he is planning a wedding for this year. He lives on Cardinal Hill and is employed by the Motz Group.
You will be receiving a notification soon about the Annual Meeting on March 20that the Clubhouse. We must have 20% of all homeowners present at the meeting or by proxy. So, if you can’t attend please give your proxy to an attending homeowner, Board Member or mail it to Towne Properties at the address listed on the notification.
There were several questions regarding the snow event this week and the HOA responsibility. The Snow Removal Policy follows:
For the Rec Facility and Detached Single Family Homes – All streets will be treated and plowed as dictated by the current snow event. Rec Facility Parking will be treated and plowed once the accumulation has reached 3 inches and after the snow event has ended. Ice melt will be applied to the parking area after being cleared.
For the Crest – All streets will be treated with ice melt as dictated by the current snow event. Driveways will be cleared after 3 inches of accumulation and only after the event has stopped. Ice melt will be applied to the streets and driveways after they have been cleared. No overflow parking pads will be cleared. No walkways will be cleared.
As you can see, 2024 is going to be a busy year. We wish all of you a very prosperous and safe year.
