Sunny and warm days are in the forecast and that means spring has finally sprung, which makes this a great time to talk about enhancements in the Crest.
In the last two months 25 new replacement bushes have been planted and the wood line has been cut back to get rid of limbs, unwanted growth and other debris. Throughout the Crest the lawns are in pretty bad shape. In addition to the annual Spring lawn treatment we have done a test seeding on east Silverfox to see if we can fill the many bald spots. If this is successful, reseeding the remainder of the front yards in the Crest will be in the budget for 2026.
Since residents in the Crest own Landominiums, most of the grass property behind their homes is homeowner property. While the HOA maintains and through the governing documents regulates it, the back yards are not common area. If you would like to get a general idea of your lot line you can find overviews under “Maps” in the Document section of TownSq and also in the FAQS sections in the Reserve of Turpin.com
The Board is continuing to escalate other improvement projects so that they can be enjoyed by residents for most of the year. Gutters on Cardinal Hill are complete as well as the painting on the same street. Currently wood trim issues are being repaired by crews. The paving at the top of Covey Run is scheduled for Friday, April 25th. Concrete quotes will be approved soon with work on parking pads, driveways, sidewalks, patios, steps, etc. to start in May or June. Also, if funds are available, the deteriorating drains at the end of Silver Fox will be repaired and a section starting there will be paved. Deck quotes are in process and work is expected to commence in June or earlier if possible.
The new mailboxes to replace the deteriorating ones on Covey Run are in. A notice will be going out soon to affected residents for the steps necessary to make the transition successful.
The Easter Egg Hunt last Saturday was well attended and a success due to a fantastic group of volunteers. If you were there, you also saw the improvements in the Clubhouse for counters and flooring. Well done!
The Board and Towne Properties has been very active in ensuring your Town Square requests are answered and acted on timely. This has been especially helpful with getting the Alta Fiber cables underground and in communicating your requests to Ground Systems. Please use this tool, it is an excellent way to communicate.
Now that the resolutions have passed, the Board is working closely with our excellent HOA Attorney to turn the resolutions into written policies, which is a very important step to create fairness and consistency and a record to update our policies going forward. The final signage policy will be unveiled next week, and the Board communicates with legal in many cases multiple times per week to complete all the necessary work.
Enjoy your spring!
