Spring has finally arrived; the April showers sure have! It is a great time to spruce up the neighborhood and get ready for the pool season. Dave Hildeman from the Board is working diligently with a landscape company to make as many improvements as possible.
There will not be a Board Meeting in April, but we will meet soon to take a final look at the rental and sign resolutions before sending them out to residents for a vote. The survey is now closed. As previously stated, there will be a Town Hall scheduled, probably in May for any questions and voting as well.
Final meetings with the concrete contractors will be on April 25th and after bids are approved, you will receive notice of any improvements before the work is done. The weather has certainly hampered some improvements already scheduled. The Towne Properties maintenance team will be power washing all decks over the next two months inspecting for repairs and replacements. They are currently working on replacing five decks.
Based on discussions at the Annual Meeting, plans have been finalized for a five-year painting schedule in the Crest beginning in 2024. It will be posted on the FAQ page at reserveofturpin.com as well as Town Square no later than May 1st. The plan is to, with minor exceptions, paint the locations where new gutters were installed to give them a nice new look. That plan will continue over the next 4 years with gutters and painting happening in the same year for designated units. You will be notified in advance of the painting. Any new additions such as garage and other doors will not be painted to keep their new look and to not affect warranties unless the color varies greatly from Crest specifications. However, any garage or other doors that are in very bad repair and need replacement will not be painted.
Contractor meetings are occurring to repair the roads in Sanctuary Circle and Wildhaven Way and you will be updated as soon as we can. Collin Shrader from the Board will be managing this project.
There continue to be too many violations regarding garbage containers being left outside for multiple days. Please do your part in taking care of this issue. If you happen to be leaving town, do your best to have a neighbor put them inside for you.
As mentioned earlier, the pool opening is not far away. The parking lot and the tennis court will be resurfaced soon, and beginning Memorial Day weekend you will be able to reserve time to play pickleball or tennis through ReserveofTurpin.com. One of the improvements in the pool area will be to have a water cooler there to fill up your water containers.
We should all emphasize safety in the Reserve of Turpin and one area we can all help with is driving safety and at the right speed. Spring weather brings the kids out to play and please lower your speed and watch out for everyone. There have been numerous complaints of cars parked in areas that obstruct vision and cars turning into other streets at a fast pace. Let’s keep everyone SAFE!
